The X-shaped patterns on the lampshade of the Nelson Cigar Crisscross Bubble Pendant add dimension, seemingly transforming the covering into a delicate origami sculpture. Warm, diffused light seeps through this spherical shade, made via a technique Nelson pioneered for his Bubble Lamp (1952).
